Gen 1:3: “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
The word “light” is translated as ‘illumination, lightning, Happiness’ and my favourite is ‘morning sun.’
As you know by now when you draw the line across the forehead in the place you wear a crown, the upper half of the cranium is similar to the shape of a rising sun. When you visualise the thorn crown on the “line” we realise how Christ gave His life so we may have a Christ mind.
We wish all our readers absolute infilling of the Christ Spirit in this year. Greater awareness of His Spirit within us as He teaches us to be transformed and renewed in our thinking. May our spirit be enlarged as the Holy Spirit is enthroned in our hearts. May the eyes of our spirit be ever more unveiled so we may see further and continually.
Another year in which we can strive for the integrity of the heart as we learn to guard the heart against the W.I.F.E. (Will, Intellect, Feeling and Emotion) by remaining in Christ.
My personal wish for myself is that I may remain at peace. No matter what trials the Lord may choose for us to withstand. I want to be able to remain calm not only in appearance but deep within my spirit being.
I am convinced that the ultimate purpose for life in the earth is that we should overcome the flesh. Rise above it! Martin Luther would say “Crucify the flesh and fly from it”. Fly from it to be free in the spirit, free from earthly things to be heavenly minded. To be seated in Christ in heavenly places. (Eph 2:4.) To be seated in Christ we must make sure that Christ is enthroned in the heart. My personal prayer life is doing much better since I can envision Christ enthroned in my heart or conscience. The conscience looks like the surface of the ocean on a calm day. On the horizon in the clouds I see Christ enthroned on His magnificent throne, water flowing from under the throne. When I walk into the Holy Place I can see who is in charge of my heart. Yet I also realise that He is a strict taskmaster who is teaching me to be transformed and renewed in my mind by teaching me to be a living sacrifice. (Rom 12:1-2).
This reminds me that there was a time that I thought that to worry is a good thing. At least I worry, others don’t even worry! Little did I realise that this was the way I lost God’s blessing. So many times the Word teaches “Do not fear”. It took me a long time to learn that fear was ruling my heart and not the Spirit of God.
As the Spirit teaches us He prepares us to be a fragrance for God and to be a twelve sectioned bread for the Father.
The teaching of the Spirit has brought me to the understanding, that all of this work He is doing in us, is so we may pray the prayer of faith. When I go the Holy of Holies I see all of heaven as in Heb 12:22. I see the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit enthroned on that great throne that really is the throne of my heart. I see that all of heaven is present. Thousands and thousands of angels and all the citizens of heaven in the general assembly of the church. I am on the mountain of Zion in the heavenly city Jerusalem. When I go to the security room I stand on the Holy Stone of a clear conscience.
Rev 2:17: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”
This is the foundation, the rock of the gospel. On the side of this white stone is written the words “SECURITY”. I stand on this stone praying before the great Throne that is enhanced with a rainbow. When I pray in this way I know that all of heaven is listening as the Father nods His head the angels move. When I finish praying about those necessary thing in this room, my faith begins to flow like a river. When I close the door of that room with the blood of Christ I see power and light increasing behind that door. As in Ezekiel 47:1 I see the door is closed but a river is flowing from below the threshold.
In this same way I pray in all the other chambers of the heart.
May God bless each one of you as you guard the heart and become the house of God this year.
